Year of Production: 2005
Duration: 52 minutes
Birth is a moment in life that has the power and mystique to move and change us. This universal rite of passage is not often experienced outside the intimate and privileged world of the family, and in some cultures outside the world of women. We go behind the closed doors of a hospital maternity unit to follow several women and their families as they experience pregnancy, the transforming moment of birth and a new life.
