“Growing Up & Going Home” is an observational documentary that gives a voice to Ethiopian sister and brothers, Eleni, Sisay, and Alemayehu, adopted ten years ago by an Australian family. The teenagers divulge their side of the adoption story, as they journey back to their homeland, and reconnect with the family and friends they left behind.
Still haunted by their past, and now grappling with questions of identity and belonging, Growing Up & Going Home reveals how they are each coping with the trans-racial adoption experience, and observes what they discover in Ethiopia this time around.
